Trying to connect my dell laptop to net .broadband cable modem but laptop says can't retrieve isp address and low power I think.. my modem lights are both green laptop has one orange light one yellow light any help appreciated

You are connecting via an Ethernet cable? Did you check the cable? Did you check your adapter setings? Did you call your cable company?

Did your broadband company (be it cable or dsl) come out and test the line when they installed it? If it's a brand new line the first thing I would do is call them up and talk to them about it.
