I moved to a house that has a Hampton Bay Fan. I don't know how to tell what model it is? Also, I went back to Home Depot, since this is their brand. They sold me the wrong light kit.
Can someone please tell me what light kits might fit this fan or is it better just to buy a new fan. This one works fine, so I hate to trash it, we just need more light in the room.
Thanks!

Can you describe?
Some fans have a plastic piece that pops out of bottom, allowing light kit to be screwed in with hollow nipple, with black and white wire. 3 Screws?

Hi and thanks-
Yes, this has a cap with 3 screws on it and the control chain hanging down. There are lots of colored wires coming down from the center of the fan, which are then divided into 3 sections. One for the chain to turn it on, and so forth.
There are no holes in the cap itself, which is approx, 4" in diameter. Does this help?

If light kit has nipple, maybe remove bottom plate, drill through center, secure, and connect.

Strat is correct, if there is no hole in the cap you may have to drill one.
You connect it with two wires, white and blue.
