I have a Yard Man riding Mower. I overfilled the oil level a lot and tried to burn off the oil.
The mower would start run for 15 seconds will loud explosions and lots of smoke and then die. I repeated this process until the battery died. Finnally I figured out how to drain the oil and did just that.
Now even after I recharged the battery I can't start the mower.

Am open for sugestions.

Thanks

Will the engine still turn over? Have you drained the oil to the correct level? An overfilled level of engine oil can be just as bad, I said can be just as bad, as a low oil level. See what it is doing now and reply.

If the oil level is correct , replace the spark plug , more than likely it is fouled from the oil.

You don't always need a new spark plug to test if it is still good some people like me dip it in gas or a flammable liquid so if you don't see the spark there will be a small explosion because of the gas being ignited. Then put it in the spark plug wire and hold with pliers and have somebody turn key but in order to spark it needs to be near a metal part of the mowers frame or chassie .If you have a wire brush like what they use for grills you can dip spark plug in gasoline to loosen the oil and brush off.
