I live in Indiana... a former co-worker got a hold of my criminal record;she got got all the mortifying juicy tidbits!! She made copies and passed it through the whole Plant & then talked some other stupid women to walk it over to my part time job. The CSM at my part time job didn't do a back ground check;this came back on her,so now she has it in for me!
How do I stop these miserable women and get on with my life?!

Kimmie, you can't make anyone do anything. If you are minding your own business, working, hold your head up. It was a mistake not to divulge to your CSM, if it is company policy to do so. That said, see how Martha Stewart and other strong women handle the same thing and IGNORE them. The buzz will die down soon enough. Your 15 minutes will be over and talk will turn to someone else. I have had something very painful happen to my family, all over the newspapers for months, I know how it feels, it will pass.

I am sorry but if what they got was public record and most criminal records are. So if they merely told and gave out true information, there is little if anything you can do.

I am sorry this is happening, but unless they made up something's or are telling lies, there is no real defense in people telling the truth
