My male cat stopt eating. I see he is hungry but just can't grab food with teeth.he is eating only dry food witch he can grab with his thong.I had a cat years ago with same problem and vet told me she got infected from male cat when they were madding and this is very often with cats.she got same tablets and in few days she was OK. Does somebody know which tablets I shooed buy.he is adopted cat and he will not let me to hold him so it is very difficult to take him to vet.

Lure him into a carrier when he is hungry and take him to the vet. He may need to have teeth removed, or even have an infection, however this is something the vet will have to determine. Antibiotics should be prescribed by the vet. If your cats are not neutered/spayed they are more likely to fight.

Go outside and put some dry food in a metal sauce pan and shake it maybe if he is around he will make some noise. Try looking in corners, under bushes, in garage. If a cat is ill sometimes they will hide. You really should not let him out untl his medical problems are cleared up.

You should have him neutered and while he is knocked out for his surgery the vet can check his teeth and remove them is they are infected. This is cheaper than taking him in for an office visit and you can kill two birds with one stone. They can also check his ears for mites, and if he is a tom cat he probably has them. The surgery to neuter a male cat is about 35.00,and he will probably need a rabies shot, but he will stay home with you after he is fixed, and his teeth will feel better also.
