Want to know how to find out if my Great Dane is pregnant, well she is not eating and I think the male might have got to her when I wasn't around for a few hours, but her nipples are swollen and there are small signs of milk leakage, just need to know since this was not planned it was suppose to be next summer, And if the pregnancy tests work from the pharmacy and if anyone knows how to deliver great danes because I was researching it for next summer not in like a few months lol but if anyone could help me that would be very much appreciated.

An experienced person can feel puppies about a month after breeding. Your vet would be an excellent choice. You could also recruit an experienced person to both check her and help whelp. I never heard of anybody using a pregnancy test on a dog. Vets use ultrasound or X-Rays.

Much of what Ruby and I had to say in https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/female-dog-taking-over-118881.html applies to you. I really struggle with the idea of leaving a male access to a female in season. It is also possible it is a false pregnancy. They can be very convincing.

Collin, bring your female to a vet. Just as an FYI, women that use those HPTs from the drugstore go to a gyno for further confirmation of a pregnancy. You will be wasting your money even attempting to use a drugstore test on your dog. Those tests are meant for humans.

If the vet tells you she is pregnant, I would suggest that you get cracking now on learning all the things that you haven't learned about breeding. The link labman provided you with has two good sources regarding breeding. With dogs, as with humans, there are no accidents when it comes to pregnancy. It is a direct result of not taking all the proper precautions necessary to avoid a pregnancy when a female is fertile.
