All of a sudden the detergent dispenser doesn't open during the cycle. It opens fine manually and the spring is fine. What is wrong? How can I make it work again?

Usually a solenoid or bi-metallic trigger as failed. Remove the outer dooe panel and test . Also they could be gunked up with detergent ot rinse agent . Clean them out thoroughly.
