View Full Version : Can't acess mp3's on my 2nd drive

I have a problem accessing music files on my 2nd hard drive it's a 200gb with a single partition 1st partition will allow access to everything apart from mp3's about 4000 of them ! Plus my comp will not read any info about it , i.e. in properties it has a capacity of 0 mb and 0mb spare,. computer worked fine was on net etc then I did a system shut down . On next boot up it said hdd read/write error press ctrl alt delete to restart every time formatted a new drive and replaced c; drive same operating system was installed but the above problems were discovered any one had the same problem I'm running windows xp home edition

If the drive says 0 that you can't access anything. Sounds like the drive isn't recognized properly.

Hi Folks Thanks For My Answer You Where Certainly On The Right Track . All I Had To Do Was Run A Check Disc So People With Similar Problem Should Try This I Guess I Should've Thought To Try It Sooner... doh! Right Click On Drive With Problem Select Properties And Then Tools And Check Volume For Errors This Worked A Treat For Me And Solved My Problem Hope This Helps
