Hi
My step son is turning 19 in December, finish Highs School a year ago. He decided he want to go to college. Can the custodial parent enforse/reinstated child support? THe child support terminated last December when he trurn 18.

I do not think child support would continue after 18. Legally, he is an adult. Capable of paying for things for himself.

It is very common for child support to go to 21 and sometimes even 23 if the child is enrolled full time as a student in a college or trade school.
If not there is often terms for the non custodial parent to pay for a percentage of the college expense.
If you have these provisions written into the child support order you have ( read it) then it should be possible to go back to court and ask for this original order be followed.

Anything is possible. A lot depends on the wording of the support order. You won't know until you file a petititon in the court for renewed support.

Depends on your state. Child support is state-specific. Check on your state at The Child Support Web Child Support Enforcement Information & Resources (http://www.childsupportweb.com)
