Flea problem in house. I have used reliable products to clear the house and mummy cat is free of alll fleas but my two week old kittens are infested. Can't use usual stuff as they are too little, can anybody advise me on how to rid my kittens of the fleas? Jo

Give your kitty a bath start at her head and throat get it wet (splash water on it) so the fleas will run down her back then dunk the rest of her body in the water to drown them. Try and keep her body in the water for a few minutes so that they drown.. try and find a gentle kittens soap if possible.( Ivory soap should be OK.. you also need to get a fine tooth flea comb->Walmart $2.00 also I would recommend bombing your house, please be careful and read and follow the instructions on the can. Do not leave animals or fish in the house! While bombing If the kittens has a momma you may want to treat her for fleas as well, check label to make sure it is OK for nursing mommas. I hope this helps

You will find many suggestions as to how to fleas kittens. This is the way that I do it. You may also want to call your/a vet. The vet techs that answer the phones are usually willing to give free info. Please consider spaying and/neutering. If you find it a financial strain. There are many organzations that will help offset the cost with coupons or vouchers.
