View Full Version : CD burning issues

Hello,

I am having issues burning cd's. What seems to be happening is (using a blank regular cd-r disk), I will burn songs from a songlist which I create on my Media Player (running XP). Then during playback, it turns out that SOME tracks play back sounding garbled and "staticky", kind of like an over-the-air broadcast of a TV program on an old-fashioned television that has bad reception (I bet many of you won't even know what this means in this day and age of digital technology. I'm dating myself here).

Anyway, does anyone know why it would only do this on certain songs (tracks) and not on all of them? Does anyone know what to do to fix this problem? Maybe cleaning the laser lens, or setting a slower burn speed?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,
I'm not an expert but I do have a few ideas in mind. If u have the songs on a play list, check them to see if they make the same problems as on cd.
Try cleaning the lens, this could be the cause. About the speed, the default should do.
Try different brands of cds and different applications to burn.
Reinstall the burning software and use the default settings to see if it does the same.
