Came home tonight to find my ceiling fan off kilter. The fan is intentionally left running all day with the light off. Tonight, the fan part was running while the light part kept cycling from low to high as if someone was playing with a dimming switch. Thought that perhaps the remote battery was going bad and I replaced the battery to no avail. I shut it off at the wall switch and then turned it back on: the fan will not operate now and the light continues to cycle from low to high (again as if working on a dimmer switch). When you push a button on the remote, the red LED light does light up and then turns off when the button is released. I checked all the buttons on the remote and none are stuck. Again, this is a fan without pull strings. The fan is about 3 yrs old. Receiver?
