Hello group
I've recently myself in a wheelchair. Any ideas on how to get a good workout at home? Can't afford a health club and most equipment I had or used you sort of have to stand up.
Thanks for any ideas.

Hello Wheelerguy,
I have seen speed bag adapted for someone sitting down. In fact, a website called SpeedBagCentral.com shows this:

As well as a lot of other basic speed bag information. On the demo page there are some video clips of hitting the speed bag sitting down.

I recommend you get The Speed Bag Bible. That is a training program for speed bag which I bought last year, and it works! I bought it from Titleboxing.com
Good luck in your fitness activities.

WG, The idea of adapting the speed bag for a person in a wheelchair is really a good one. Looks like all you need to do is hang it lower, so the bag is with reach of you. Since you could roll up to it and position yourself facing the bag (looks like the same shoulder and chest position as someone standing... ). You can get a modest speed bag setup pretty cheap.
And wow, that guy is frickin' amazing on the speed bag! I had no idea it could be used like that. I also found this speed bag video clip on putfile.com

Too funny.
