I'm replacing my old wiring with new, boxes, wiring ,switches etc. I rewired everything in one room but my ceiling fan trips the breaker it is a harbor breeze kids fan/ black ,white and blue wires green for ground. Did I miss a step somewhere or have a wire crossed. White to white black to black blue to black and green to ground. Is this right or wrong.

That's right, it sounds like maybe two wires are touching that are not supposed to be. How many wires are there from the ceiling?

There are 3 wire from ceiling fan to junction box/black blue and white. I connected black to black blue to black and white to white. I'm trying to wire into a single switch 2 wire with a bare ground.

You only have two wires + ground in the ceiling?

I fixed the problem I have an advanced home wiring book with several different wirng diagrams I found the problem and solved it. I had a 2 wire cable coming to the attic from power /1 cable from the switch and the wires from the fan- 1 black, 1 white , and 1 blue/ all whites connected together, all blacks connected together, and the blue from the fan connected to the black wires. I had to take the white from the switch and make it hot by coneccting it to the black from power.
