I purchased a home in New York City. There was a post closing agreement for work to be finished on the house. The seller has not honored the agreement. There wasn't an escrow attached to this agreement. I have been trying to resolve this for two years.

The same home came with a ten year roof warranty as soon as we moved in the roof started leaking all over damaging the paint and sheet rock all the way to the first floor.
This was a few weeks after closing. It cost me $15,000 to get someone to fix the roof. I still have not fixed the internal damage. Everyday the roof guy was coming but he never showed up.
Do I have a right to be reimbursed.

Thanks for your help.

If there was no money put aside - what good is the post closing agreement? Are you sure money wasn't withheld in an escrow account? Have you called who handled your closing?
Also, was there no number to call for the warranty?
It sounds like you got the shaft and a lot of useless paper.

Do i have a right to be reimbursed.Hello clark:

Looks like it... But they're not just going to give it to you because you ask. You got to sue 'em. Hire an attorney or go after them in small claims court.
