Slight bleeding is not uncommon in early pregnancy. You said you have had a miscarriage, is what is happening to you now anything compared to that? If so, get to a doctor. :)

Bleeding can mean many things in a pregnancy my friend had bleeding around the same time as you and her dr put her on bed rest for awhile until it cleared up so my advice is don't stress it will make it worse and just go see your dr it could be nothing or something and you won't know till you see your doctor!! Let me know what happens

Yes, bleeding is common in early pregnancy. If it is heavy or accompanied by cramps then you should call your doctor and set up an emergency appointment right away. If you are concerned about the bleeding you are experiencing now you could call you doctor or midwife; they will be able to tell you if you should worry. Take it easy and don't stress! You and your little peanut will be just fine! :)

Thanks I wasn't for sure and its nothing like my miscarriage before it like only when I wipe and its very light and there is no cramping but we found out really earling like 2 weeks ago I was pregnant so is that a sign of twins? Well I am very great to here that its common I go next week for my ultrasound to see how far I exalty am. I will keep you updated!

Twins are always a possibility, unfortunately I don't think there is any way to predict them.

Thanks for keeping us posted and good luck! :)

Well thsnk you I read somewhere on the internet that it's a 75 percent chance if you detect an early pregnancies that you will have twins. But now the bleeding is blarely even any and its only when I wipe so I am not sure it isn't anything to worry about right.

Early detection a sign of twins? Nah, that is a myth.

Any bleeding during pregnancy should be discussed with your doctor.

Bleeding during the early months can be common, but it is up to your doctor to say if it is normal for you.

Well now its like a brownish and a dark red blood and it's a little more than yesterday. But its like when you period is on it last day and it about to stop but I am not having any cramping and its now going in my underwear only when I wipe. Should I start worrying?

Aug 1, 2007, 09:43 AM
Well now there's no blood and now my boyfriend called his mom and she is telling me I am having a miscarrage and now my boyfriend is screaming at me and telling me I am stupid because I don't feel like there's anything wrong and with my miscarrage before I felt like something was wrong and they are saying that I wouldn't bleed if I had a miscarrge this early. Would I feel something wrong?

Whoooaaa, tell them to slow down! You haven't even seen a doctor yet. I honestly don't think you are having a miscarriage but I do think you should have you OB take a look at it. You boyfriend yelling and screaming at you is only causing more stress to you and your unborn child. He needs to stop! Call your doctor and set up an appointment or go to the ER if you need to! Good luck!

First of all, your boyfriend needs to calm down. Added stress does not help at all.

How long has the bleeding been stopped for? Did you cramp? Do you cramp now? Did the blood have any clotting?

You have experienced a miscarriage, and so has rank. You know what it is like, and if you feel you are okay, then you probably are. But as rank said, it would be good for you to see your doctor, or at least call him, just in case! :)

Just call the doc and they will most likely bring ou in for an ultrasound to be sure... I, personally, would rather be safe than sorry.

Aug 1, 2007, 09:50 AM
Exactly! Please just see your doctor or give him a quick ring! He/she will determine if you need to come in. When I m/c I have very severe cramping that awoke me in the middle of the night, I also bleed very heavily and passed a lot of clots! I was soaking up pads every 20 minutes!

It was brownishh when I used the bathroom this morning and when we went and ate breakfest about 2 hours ago and I just used the bathroom and there was no blood. My boyfriend is calm now and he called his aunt and she is an obgy and she said that she doesn't believe it a mc cause we had sex 2 days ago and that when I started spotting was the next morning. I don't have any cramps and I don't feel anything wrong. Would I feel anything wrong we are on the road for his job and we have been under stress with worrying about money cause he wasn't working for a week so we got behind on bills and then we have to find a place to live so I can have a room for my little peanut. But his aunt said that if I feel something wrong or it becomes heavy or really bright red go to the doc but other wise don't have sex for 4-6 weeks and see the doc when I go home tomorrow or fri for my ultra sound to see if everything is OK. But I don't want to be scared I want my little baby and I don't want the man upstairs to take my peanut. I just lay in the hotel room bed and watch my soaps and drink water. Thanks everyone for your support you are so much help and stress reliver

You're very welcome hun. And take your boyfriend's aunts advice. She knows what she is talking about. Just take it easy for a while. It doesn't sound to me like you are having a miscarriage either, but you should still take it easy. Pregnancy is exhausting, and worrysome!

If anything changes, contact your OB or go to the ER :)

Don't worry I will keep you updated and hopefully I will know something fri. I hope

Chas I have had a miscarriage as well and it does NOT sound like you are having one to me!! The aunt's advise was wonderful and you resting is a great idea because woman who bleed and are NOT having a miscarriage are most often put on semi or full bed rest so take it easy until you get to the doctor and don't worry!! When you have a miscarriage it is VERY painful and TONS of blood I couldn't even use a pad I was rolling up towels and soaking them within one hour so I really think you are going to be fine!! Let us know for sure!!

Aug 2, 2007, 07:00 PM

A bit far from me... thats far east, and Im more northwest... but it is a small world. Ive met several folks from or living here or around here. But really if you are or know anyone in or who has been in the military, chances are, you've come through here. :)

I live in henderson ky but my family lives in Indiana which is right over the bridge and my boyfriend was in the army and he was stationed in fort campbell ky. But I started spotting again today but me and my boyfriend hasn't has sex since that one day and I haven't been spotting for 2 days and it started again this morning but it looks more like discharge with light blood in it so is that anything to worry about? I wish Monday would come sooner so I can see the little peanut and know everything is OK! Well keep you updated

Ah, Henderson, Im from Jefferson co. I got family down in Daviess though... owensboro/whitesville area.

Some bleeding in early pregnancy can happen. I had spotting and cramping when I was 5-6 weeks along, and then it just stopped. I'm a healthy 19 weeks today.

chas21
Aug 3, 2007, 08:32 PM
Well that's cool I was born in owensboro so that's cool. But I have completely stopped so I am glad to hear that you are doing good

When you're 6 weeks pregnant?

Women can spot in early pregnancy, however if it gets worse than it is right now, go to your doctor asap. :)

You can always ask them for one at the doctor today. They might do it, they might not. It never hurts to ask, and its better to be safe than sorry :)

Well I told them that I was spotting and they said nothing about it and I asked for an ultrasound and they wouldn't give me one. But the gave me cough medicine and nothing that would help me there were about worthless

That is completely ridiculous. If you told them you were pregnant and spotting, and were worried about it, they should have at least examined you. That is irresponsible of them.

One thing you can do is call your OB and tell him/her what is going on. Tell them you went to the doctor and told them what was going on and they didn't even examine you. Tell them you are worried and would like to be seen. It could be/is probably nothing, but all that matters is that you are worried and you want to be seen. Whether it is something or nothing, you would feel better being examined.

If all you have is a family doctor and not an OB, get an OB! They are usually more helpful. :)

Well I go for sn ultrasound tom at 1 so maybe the will tell me that the baby is fine and then I won't have to worry about it very much but its going to take up to 2 months to see my ob. And to the guy named pregnant belly no one asked for your opionin so don't give it unless I ask you for it so back off.

nauticalstar420
Aug 5, 2007, 07:57 PM
Well good luck tomorrow and let me know how it goes.

It shouldn't take 2 months to see your OB. What's the holdup? You should be having prenatal appointments every 4 weeks. You have to make sure you are getting the proper care for you and your baby. I would ask them why it is taking 2 months to get an appointment. :)
