If Someone Is On 5yrs Probation And Didn't Finish Some Classes And Stopped Checking In, But Been Out Of Trouble For More Than 5yrs Would They Still Be On Probation

They should really call their probation officer because not reporting is serious. If u don't finish what you are assigned to do it could be probation violation. Better call and check in. My brother was on probation for ten years and he had to report even after being in no trouble for the whole ten years. It could also depend on the laws in your state and what they are on probation for. I can't believe they don't have a warrant for their arrest. Better check it out and SOON

I do agree with the answer above. Not reporting is very serious. I also want to reinforce what was already said: the person should communicate with their probation officer. He or she should also make every effort to complete any requirements of probation. By not doing those things, then he or she might face additional probation and even arrest. It's best to be communicating with the probation officer. I know that I am only assuming the following, but rather than continuing to run, as that is what sounds like is happening here, it is far better for a person to just do as they are told concerning probation if the person wants to gain their freedom and become a productive member of society again.
