I'd be most grateful for any help and advice you could give me about a major problem. I'm on a course and have just found out that someone on this course (who's e-mailed me - and yes, I've opened attachments! ) mentioned, in passing, to someone else they'd e-mailed on the course: "I see you've been looking at loads of websites and have been all over the web"... it's the 'see' bit that raises the question. This person's a bit of a computer whizz but I never expected this from a colleague or someone who professed to be a friend. Having checked out another site, I've downloaded SpyBot and scanned & destroyed the list of hijackers etc... but how do I found out if this person was one of them? I need hard evidence that they've been tampering with my machine (I'm not sure they have but chances are high). I also need to advise my friend on this (who's not computer literate and this is what makes the thing so much dirtier). What should I look for and, if I find something, how can I be sure that it's the right person? Will they be able to access everything on my PC? The stuff I'm bothered about is the stuff that's related to my course and issues of plagiarism, idea-lifting etc... it's like someone's been reading my work diary!! Very unsettling. The sooner someone could mail me with advice, the better, as this has major potential repercussions... for myself, colleague and the individual who's been doing it! With thanks.

Hi Marakesh,

Download the free version of Spy Sweeper, it should be able to remove keyloggers:

Hope this helps!
