Do you think that if Hilary Clinton became president that Bill Clinton would have any influence on her decisions and to what extent?

I don’t think their political ambitions differ too much of an extent; however, I do think he will be very helpful to her in stratagem and particularly in the area of ‘public perception.

Perhaps as a consultant out of many advisers and cabinet members. If Hillary is anything, she is her own woman who has worked extremely hard to get to where she is today. She will not want to be in Bill's shadow when she is President, if she is elected.

Bill may prove useful as a roving world ambassador to America... other countries love him and he would be useful diplomatically.

He certainly would be a soundingboard, as all presidents' spouses have been, but, like Choux said, she is her own woman, has plenty of political experience, and, after listening to him and to others, would make her own decisions.

Given such a scenario I'd fully expect Bill to be used in the capacity of an advisory senior.

She has radical ideas . Bill to his credit out of pure political ambition learned how to triangulate . When he came into office he tried to implement their radical ideas . When he found he was getting no-where he was at least smart enough to couch them in centrist rhetoric .

You see the same moderating influence on her recently with this flap with Obama. Truth is ;Hillary would love to schmooze with Chavez and Ahmamadjihad ;just like madam Mimi Pelosi . But ;Bill has most likely instructed her that to win the White House she has to at least appear to be tough on National Security .

She also did that during a previous debate when asked about a response to a terrorists attack. Obama mouthed platitudes about emergency management issues. Hillary said she would find out who did it and retaliate. That was the correct response. What she did not say is that the response would be to lob a couple of cruise missiles at goat herders . That would be typical Clintononian doctrine .

One does not know what would happen in the unfortunate event of her becoming President .If I were her I would force Bill to wear a pad locked cod-piece for one. If she was smart she'd keep him around because he is the key to the Clintonoid junta .But she may think that with political ambition achieved she can cut bait .

Will Bill have any influence? Let's answer this way: to what extent has he had influence on her politics until now? To what extent has he had an effect on her campaigns? I think that Bill's been very influential to her... she's running a smart political campaign, doing fairly well at triangulation, is avoiding saying anything that might henpeck her or cut off a part of her voting base, etc. She's learning a lot from Bill. I can't see how anyone can claim that he wouldn't have a strong influence over her political management.

Now... how much of an influence he will have over what positions she takes remains to be seen. I believe that it will be extensive, but there's no way to know for sure. It's enough for me that the positions she has taken are ones that I am diametically opposed to...
