I do a lot of rebuilding of chimney stacks which involves working with lead, which of the Benzomatic blowlamp models would be best suited to weld lead, and which refills would I require.
Many thanks

You use lead, which has a low melting point, in chimneys? Please explain.
You don't "weld" lead, you wipe a joint. Wiping as joint is almost a lost art. Do you have the paddles, tops and wiping cloths along with the necessary expertise to do this sort of lead work. As for a torch any low flame torch will do. Regards, Tom

Thanks for the reply, but I mean lead welding not wiping a joint, I have a mate who does my lead welding at the moment and it looks exactly like a normal weld on steel only its lead, I would like to learn how to do my own, I need welding sometimes on some of the lead flashings and aprons where the stack exits the a roof
