I just bought a Jacuzi style tub (standard size, a bit deeper; 60x32") and optional inline heater to keep it up to temperature for the duration of bubbling. The salesperson at the big box retailer told me they both could be pluggged into the same a GFCI-protected 15Amp dedicated circuit. However, when I get everything home, I read the pump on the tub (7 amps) and the heater (12 amps) and I do not seem to get less than 15 amps. Moreover, it is not even 80% of a 20 amp line.
I've already run a 12 AGW line from box to tub (lovely doing attic work in the summer). Do I need to crawl up and do it again (and create 2 dedicate lines, instead of 1) or are these amps in line with a single 20 amp circuit?
Thanks
