Hi,
My husband and I are young, we are not fimiliar with the complex nature of growing and maintaining a beard (for him not me,. lol). I am looking for advice to help my husband to grow a reasonable healthy looking beard.:)
As Muslims know, it is part of the religion for men to have beards... but that does not necessarily mean that all muslims know exactly HOW to maintain a beard.
Please help us get on the right track to not looking like a caveman...

A proper sunnah beard should be of two fists length. You cannot shave the part on the cheekbone, though you may shave above that. You may get rid of the mustache completely if you want to, but it makes you look like a garden gnome...

Two fists lengths is very rare... if that is Sunnah then show your proofs please...

I too agree with you, from what I have read it is right to hold a fistful of the beard and to cut whatever is below and this is allowed.(I could be wrong)
Two fist length of beard is indeed a rarity...
