I have been seeing a guy for a month now. We have spent nearly every day/night together and it has been wonderful! We have had two spats now and my temper has come out both times. I don't scream and yell, but I am sarcastic and cold to him. He has a lot of female friends and two in particular that intimidate me because of their "tight" relationship with him. One of them is going through a divorce and the other-a former make out partner. On these two occasions that we, well I, have been upset there has been alcohol involved and I have shown a jealous side. That is just PART of it. He is going through a lot right now because 3 of his friends have died in Iraq in the last 2 weeks and now he is thinking about going back over to serve. He has had a lot on his plate and I have been patient, sympathetic, and supportive, but I feel as if I am not getting much in return and when we go out (to the clubs etc) I feel that he pays more attention to these girls than me. This is what sparks my attitude. I have tried to apologize and explain myself to him as well as spilling my guts about how I feel to him and I have not gotten any response other than, "You are a very special girl and I care about you, but I don't know what I think right now because I have some serious decisions to make right now." I asked him if I need to back off and he says no, but he has become rather distant in the last 3 days. What do I do?

Try talking to him again, and if that doesn't work, go to a psychologist (theripist)

Talk to him... just keep talking about what you're feeling.

You've only been with him for a month and you said that you've spent every single day/night together. This all sounds a little rushed. He may be cooling off and trying to take a step back. Maybe you should take a step back too and give him some space. He may be telling you he doesn't need space because he does not want to start an argument. I would back off him for a couple of days and see what happens.

I agree with GlindaofOz :)
Also, I think that your boyfriend thinks he's having too much of a responsibility about you.
