Just because you like the way something looks or the appeal doesn't mean you touch it.

I think you should look for a girl in general not be so narrow minded about it. My boyfriend swore up and down that he would never stray from Korean girls he loved the way they looked their culture their language their hangouts bla bla bla and then he met me. We have been together 13 months to this day and dating for longer and we are very happy. I am mostly white with Indian and Italion in me, I don't speak Korean I don't hang out in Korea Town I don't have the same background but he loves me more than anything.

If you narrow your sights to one thing you may miss the other beautiful things surrounding it...

I am always wary when a man says he wants a Japanese or Korean woman. Yes, the culture is beautiful but often times it happens the man is looking for a submissive woman. Someone who "knows her place" so to speak. One of my cousins married a Korean woman, looking for that humble attitude of service and once they got stateside, it all changed. She became American in a hurry. Lol.

But if you are serious about this, then there are some helpful sites out there.

No, I did not say all. But as a cultural tradition, Japanese and Korean women, as well as other women in Asia and SE Asia are seen as submissive to the male. Note, I said traditionally speaking, which does not mean everyone. Some men still want that that ideal. American woman are not known, in current culture, to be submissive. Yes, they are some but American women for the most part, have an equal relationship with their partner. They have careers, income, are self sufficient, and can ask for and get, equal treatment. Standing up for themselves and not allowing themselves to be second class.

That is what I meant when I said my cousin's wife became "American" - she learned quickly that what was expected of her in her home country (as far as giving the deference to the male in all things in the marriage), she could change that for herself. She could speak up and establish her rights.
