My shower faucet is the kind that has 2 handles that are in the shape of x's (called cross handles). They are silver. In the center of each handle is a cirular cap with a c for cold and h for hot on each one. One of these caps is missing - the one that signifies cold. I was wondering if it's possible just to get replacements for these caps. I don't care if it has the c or h on it, as long as it's silver and fits, I'll be happy. I don't want to have to replace the entire faucet system for such a minor thing.

I highly doubt you will find just the cap. Most of the handles are standard parts. Check hardwares and home centers and pick out something you like, and buy a matching pair. If you have trouble getting the screws or or the handles off, pos back, or doa search here. It comes up now and then in plumbing.
