How is family nudity / bathing practices and laws regarding child abuse separated? Are they? This is a concern I have, but the family (mother and father) do not seem bothered by it.

The father and mother are blind. I would call social services and explain what I have been told. Maybe the father has no bad intentions, but if the daughter is acting out in a sexual manner with other children then something is going on with her in reality or in her mind. This needs to be addressed.

Let me try to put it a different light. What if you have a family that practices naturalism? Lets say they have been spending time in a naturalist camp during the whole time the daughter has been growing up. Clearly that's not considered child abuse.

So I would have to wonder about the family history. If naturalism has not been a part of the family's lifestyle, then yes, this practice needs to be questioned.

What is your relation to the family? Have you noticed anything overtly sexual between father and daughter?

Juniper. You changed your post, in the first one you stated she had been acting out sexually with her peers. I feel that that is an important part of your post, that should have been left in your edited question. You need 1 post for this not 3 separate post maybe 1 of the moderators can combine your post. So everyone can get a clear picture of what is being asked here.

She does demonstrate sexual curiosity towards other kids. But it is hard to know what is normal and what is not. I think all kids have some curiosity. So, I took that out not knowing.

I have some serious concerns about a family. Father showers w/ 10 year old girl. Mother is OK with it as long as daughter is OK with it. The girl wants to shower with her father. She also seems overly interested in sex and expresses that curiosity with peers through requests that they undress. She has also tried to come into my bathroom and look at me in the shower at my home when she has been over for sleepover.

Thoughts on family nudity / bathing practices? It is difficult to know how to intervene.

The above is from your other thread. Please do not start different threads with the same question. I've requested the other thread be deleted.

This certainly does put a different spin on the situation. I'm still not sure any abuse is going on, but it does indicate a parental lapse. It may be that this girl has been rasied to regard nudity as natural. Her parents may just need to educate her on what is socially acceptable behavior.

However, at 10, a young girl's body is starting to develop and this practice should be nipped in the bud.

Is wanting to see someone in the shower acting out or is it curiosity? Maybe. It is just difficult to know. This issue seems to straddle parenting and legal issues, which is why I post.

Sorry for confusing you.

I say curiosity, maybe she just wanted to see if all men look the same, she could be comparing you to her dad. I agree with scott, However it would not hurt to keep an eye out. I would also, not avoid sexual remarks or prying eyes from her. I would let her know that I was not comfortable with sharing my body with her eyes, if it ever came up again.

Your actual question doesn't specify much but the title of your thread suggests what your question is about. Whether it would be considered "abuse" is questionable. It certainly may be considered inappropriate. I would think that pretty soon the 10-year-old daughter is going to shy away from the idea of being nude in the shower with her father or anyone else.
