Many of us come here looking for answers. Why? How? They said they would be with me forever. Well let us cast our minds to the film Gone with the wind, the famous title taken from a famous poem! - "I have forgot much, Cynara! gone with the wind."

Scarlett O'Hara loved Ashley. Ashley loved his wife. Rhett loved Scarlett. When Ashley was married, she couldn't let go of him because she felt as if he were her "soulmate". Rhett comes along a woos Scarlett and eventually they get married, even though, without Rhett's knowledge, Scarlett is still secretly and madly in love with Ashley. As the story goes, Rhett grows weary of Scarlett. He is exhausted and has tried everything to make his bride love him. He just wants her to be happy with him and to love him the way he loves her. Ashley has told Scarlett he wants her to be happy but there is no chance that they will ever be together. Wanting what they can't have? In the movie, Scarlett makes a desperate attempt to hold on to Rhett because she realizes in the end that she does love him. The famous line rings though my ears like a bell:

"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!" and he walks away with Scarlett shocked that this man could just walk out of her life.

I suggest those in pain, well - NO MORE! "I don't give a dam!"

Although a hard attitude to take in most instances it is the best one. It is just a matter of how long it takes one to come to that conclusion.

Hopefully it doesn't take most as long as it took Rhett.

I see your point though Jiser. It is just very hard for those fresh out of relationship to.
