Hi,

I have a question on glutathione. I have tried taking it for a more than a week. I noticed something in my skin. It's sort of an allergy. Some of my body parts (hidden parts) such as my underarms, cheek lining, lines at the bottom of my nose get dark and rough. I even consulted a dermatologist for this. She asked me the medicines that I take. That time, I was taking revicon and at the same time gluta (I think 250mg).

Have anyone of you tried having allergies using gluta? I really wanted to lighten my skin and many said that gluta is very effective.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi, it just might be that your Glut.pills are detoxing you, this is their main purpose. Glutathione is an master-anti oxidant it will first īcleanīyour internally and then itīs side effect is whitening of the skin. So donīt trow away your pills and go to your doctor and please donīt listen to just anyone on this board... good luck.

P.S donīt smoke are drink alcohol while taking L-Glutathione pills and take your pills in combination with vitamine C and Rosehip.

Our body actually produces Glutathione, so if you are saying that you had an allergic reaction from taking GLuta, then that's not a real Gluta, it's fake. That's what happened to my friend who lives in the Philippines who happened to buy Gluta from this online seller whom they meed at some mall. And in the Phil, you can't sue them for selling adulterated or tampered dietary supplements unlike in the US.
Try detoxifying yourself (take extra Vit. C) and stop taking that fake Gluta.

Better yet, have that pills tested by a reputable Lab and if the results says it's fake then go after the big ones, the manufacturer of the said Gluta.
Go to the Doctor and document everything.

I'm alrdy using gluta for 3 months now. I don't experience what you are experiencing now. Maybe you are just alergic to gluta. You stop taking 8 or 8 might get worst. You can try external product use in whitening.

An allergic response from something ingested usually starts from the chest and goes throughout the body and manifests as itching and swelling. Darkening of areas is a different thing. If the darkening is only in certain sun-exposed areas such as your nose then this might be something genetic. If only your underarms and hidden parts are dark then try a better deodorant. For better information, try consulting your dermatologist again or get another one.

BTW, glutathione capsules are not just made of pure glutathione. They are mixed with excipients- one of which is Mannitol. These excipients bind to water to increase absorption in the gut. They may be responsible for allergic reactions but glutathione itself is not a known allergen. If you are certain that this is an allergic reaction then just try a better brand.
