We redone our bathroom ,but the shower drain is concrete. The top layer is breaking off and the pan is still in good condition and a weird size . We want to redo the surface . How do we do this and make it match our tile in the shower . :)

Sounds like you have a mud pan made in place. You can clean and etch it and then tile over the mud with unmodified thinset.
