I live in Illinois and I am convicted of felony retail theft and I was wondering if I can have it exponged or sealed.

Sure you can, if your state allows for it. That doesn't mean you will get it expunged, however. It's going to take some time (like 10 years or so) and it's going to take a lawyer.
