Is it possible to install an h22a engine, transmission and clutch into a 91 civic hatchback 1.5 ltr. I have a buddy who will sell it to me for a good price. Thank you

I'm not a Honda expert but I did stay at Holiday Inn last night... hehehe just kidding.

You have a lot to consider: engine and trans mounts, linkage to the carburator/throttle body, linkage to the trans. cooling system hoses and emission control vaucuum lines. Then all the wiring harness for the starter, sensors etc.

Not to mention overall clearance between strut towers and the hood. And don't just drop it in, if it will even fit. Look it over now to fix oil leaks etc. Put new belts on now (much easier than later)

Good luck!

Anything is possible - but that H22 is a whole lotta engine (and weight) for your civic.
Your car is better suited for a smaller B series engine.
There are better alternatives out there.
I wouldn't waste my time - unless it was free.

Also you are going to have to get custom axles, in my opinon if you want to do a swap it would be better to go with a B20 with a B16 head, you will not have as many head achs. There are plenty of options that you can go with but I wouldn't go with the h22 just for the fact that it would cost more than it would be worth.
