My 91 civic won't start. I've read others and see it's a common problem. I have pwer and it turns over. It just won't start. I think it's my igition switch, but not sure. If I turn the key to on, then turn it half-way past I hear a noise from under the dash like an aching sound. If I try to start it, It runs for about a second. It won't run t all. Is it my ignition switch? I recently replaced the distributor. Would that be a better place to start?

Perform the tests outlined in sections A and B below:

Most likely it's an ignition problem; e.g. ECM, Ignition Control Module, and coil. Ignition switch problems are not common on Hondas.

Be sure to first check fuses and check for codes.
