I have been to court a couple of times to obtain my college transcripts... I neither one nor lost the case... In California, according to court system, I can get the cash equivalent of my transcripts as no 'in kind judgements are awarded'... I therefore settled my case with National University and I paying for the transcripts (a second time). I need the transcripts to apply for jobs and obtain a degree.

My question is what can I do if the university doesn't release my official transcripts after I have met my end of settlement... The settlement was not made in court.

Hello tina:

You didn't have a lawyer, and it's obvious. You filed the wrong kind of lawsuit. The one you filed doesn't allow you to get your transcripts. It allows you to get cash. They settled for cash. Therefore, in my view, that means you've gotten ALL you're going to get.

Why would a school NOT release transcripts? Did you not pay your tuition?

Yes - something definitely doesn't add up here.
