We own a DJ company and we entertained my wife friend wedding reception. We trusted her so we didn't do a contract. So we did a verbal agreement and she hasn't paid us in 2 months. Will this verbal agreement stand up in court. We also have emails from her saying she will be sending the payment out to us. Can we sue her for the balance she owes?

Yes, you can sue her. The verbal agreement might stand, with the verification of the emails. If you have any witnesses make sure those people come to court with you, or at the very least, submit notarized statements to the court, as to what they heard. You need to prove your case so make sure you have all your documentation in order before you proceed. Good luck.
