OK. I currently have a White-rodgers 1F58 thermostat and I want to change it for a digital Programmable T-stat.. On the White-Rodgers the wiring is as follows.

6 wires are used w/ 1 jumper
R- Red wire
G- Green Wire
O- Orange Wire
W2- White Wire w/ a Jumper wire to - E
C- Blue Wire
Y- Yellow

Can someone explain how I would hook this up?

I bought a HoneyWell RTH230B, But Honeywell told me I would need one of the 7400 or the 7500 can someone recommend a cheaper model than one of these?

Unfortunetly a good thermostat is expensive and a cheap one is not worth the effort of changing it , spend the extra dollars, White Rogers, Totalline, makes a very good stat as well. Mike

Spend the money, in the long run it's worth it. Make sure you purchase a heat pump thermostat.
