Is there any way that I can find out how to lower my child support. They take half of my check for child support and I am now married with a baby on the way and can't afford to take care of my wife or new child because Im never left with any money. If they wouldn't take so much from my checks, I would be able to buy more things for my children's birthdays and help the mother out more with things! Does any one know any laws about this?:confused:

Sure you would give the mother money if you did not have to pay so much child support,

But anyway, child support is based on state law, each state has rules on mim amount to pay per child, and percents to pay based on income.

HI, contact a lawyer or call the court of kids and ask them. When they give a # for the amount of money you have to pay, they take in account for the living situation of you. If you have a new baby, then let them ( friend of court) know. In Michigan the parent who has the child,children can ask for a increase very 2 years. SOme men can't afford to eat and it is wrong..
