I have a 5 mon old American Bulldog. I had her out on her cable and she got eating by Mostquitos. So she was chewing on her legs to itch her self and on her head right in between her eyes. Now there is hair lost and scabs. What can I do or use to get the hair to grow back and for her to stop chewing at those spots. She also is a white dog if that has anything to do with it.. :confused: Please let me know asap cause she would be so much cutier with out those rub or chew marks... :)

Try some Benadryl, 2 mg per pound of body weight every 8 hours. Have the vet look at her the first of the week. The Benadryl is just a stop gap thing. I seldom suggest medicating your dog yourself. I don't remember hearing of mosquitos attacking a dog that badly. I hope you have her on heart worm remedy.

You could use some bitter apple, just spray on the areas that shed is chewing on, or you could use a cone to put it around her head so she won't chew, you just have to wach and make sure that she doesn't scratch herself. Good luck
