Wife lies in preliminary hearing about many things. Falsely claims husband assaulted her , there is no physical evidence, marks, bruises etc.
She claims her husband also assaulted her a year earlier, she went to the street and told a Police officer her husband hit her but the Police officer refused to help her because she had no ID. Would a Police officer refuse to help a wife who said she was assaulted because she had no ID on her? The officer will be subponed to testify for the defense if there is a trial.
The true story is wife argued with husband, left house about 10 PM. Police in a car stopped and asked her if there was a problem ( a rural area not many people walking at night) she told police she argued with husband, police asked if she was beat, she said no. Police offered to drive her home, she declined. Police then took her to police station. She staid in police station until dawn, then left, later on phone asked husband to pick her up. Husband picked her up and she returned home.
After defense Attorney proves she lied about first assault will the jury doubt her story about second assault a year later?
