Hi! I hope someone can help me. I am looking for a new refrigerator since the Kenmore one that I have is accumulating ice in the freezer compartment after only being 4 days old. This is the 2nd unit of this brand and model that I have had in the past month. I returned the 1st one because the seals were damaged on the doors and ice was accumulating in the freezer compartment. I tried to have the present one repaired, but the service man that they sent out either didn't know what he was doing and/or was told not to spend much time on it. He just said that air was leaking in somewhere and that was causing the frozen buildup. I already knew that.

Anyway, could anyone suggest just a plain top freezer brand that they have had good luck with (no ice maker/filtered water needed). I realize that there are lemons in any brand/model, but I would like some input.

From my experience, I might suggest Whirlpool or Maytag. I'm sure others here will have other opinions and hope they post them for you. You sure have had a time with the kenmore brand. Hope you get a good one soon
