Hi, we bought a house that has a jacuzzi tub in the master bath. We only have used it a few times, however, it just started leaking after we used it the other night through the ceiling on to the floor below. My husband (who is a gen contractor) checked the access panel and realized that it was installed incorrectly and when turned on the motor vibrates so much it breaks the seal. Of course now the jacuzzi company is out of business so we can't get a new motor for it. We want to put the house on the market, but with a jacuzzi tub not working we are wooried we might have a problem. Is there any other way to fix this problem short of ripping out the tub and replacing it? There is a lot of tile work involved. We have searched for a new motor that will work but haven't been able to find one.

I worked in an on liquid pumps, it is not uncommon for bearings to go out...

If you can get the pump out, maybe the bearings on the motor can be replaced

Can you find a pump online (ebay) --- ask a spa store if they can help

Thanks for the advice. Would bad bearings cause the motor to vibrate that much? Is replacing the bearings something my husband could do or do we need a plumber or jacuzzi guy?
