We have a Northport III ceiling fan and the remote control has stopped working. The fan and light continue to work fine when turned on manually. I have changed the battery in the remote, I have checked to see that the combinations on the remote and on the receiver are the same, but can not get this remote to work ?

Can you please advise ?

I would also like to know, if there is any problem using the curly que enery saving bulbs in this fan ?

I would appreciate your knowledge ?

Thanks

Does the fan have pullchains? Does the LED light up on the remote? What do you mean it works manually, with the wall switch? Howso?

The fan company sent me a new transmitter which I installed. The light works perfect via the remote, but the fan no longer operates at all either via the remote or the pull chain on the fan itself ?

Ok, if the fan has pullchains, you need to try wiring it without the receiver, and get it to work that way. Then, reinstall the receiver. If it does not work then the receiver is bad.
