Hi, I have a HP nx8220 and my current RAM is 512. Is it possible to upgrade my RAM without causing problems to the laptop. What is the maximum amount of RAM I can use and what should I look at before I install the RAM. Thanks

You can go to 2G of RAM, or just upgrade to 1G by adding another 512 module. You can find insturctions in your manual which can also be found here:
