I've been trying to open the light fixture on this(AER52BP5LKRC) for 3 days now. The bulb blew & my manual is nowhere to be found.

No, it's no answer to your problem. I was just trying to point you in the right direction for help with your problem as to where good folks are at to help you. Since you are new to this forum and did not post where fan problems are addressed. Sorry I offended you

The glass bowl is not fixed by any screws or retainers. It can be removed by rotating the glass bowl (counter-clockwise) about a quarter to a half turn and then lowering the bowl from the unit.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I tried doing what Bfortune said but the whole steam turns and it feels like it will break. I am very unhappy with this fan as the bulb goes on and off all of a sudden and won't go back on. Then in the middle of the night a few weeks later it goes back on. Strange. I would like to open it to see what is going on but I am having major trouble. Finding a manual online is a nightmare.

Thank you! It worked just fine. We moved into a house with this fan (no manual) and I've been going crazy trying to get the fixture open to change the bulb.

They're on Lowe's web page, not sure if store carries them.

Lowe's item #75841 (100W).

I purchased the fan a couple of years ago on closeout. Just got around to installing it in the guest room. I was disappointed to find that because of a Federal law that went into effect on January 1. 2009 it only came with a 100W bulb.

I would like to have more light and am wondering if I can replace the bulb with a 150W (Lowe's item # 34178) without any problems or concerns? The remote that comes with is good up to 300W.
