Up until I downloaded WMP 11, I was able to embed music in my emails. (Tools, Background, Sound, Browse, Repeat settings and Apply) Now, it won't work! Grrrrrr Is there something I need to change in my settings? I have tried system restore, but there were no changes made. The WMP 11 will play my midis when I go to them one at a time, but won't play in my email.

Frankly, if you kept sending me e-mails with embedded music, I'd block you from mailbox. There is nothing more annoying then opening an e-mail only to get blasted by music. I would NEVER send e-mails or setup a WEB site that didn't offer the user the option to play or not BEFORE sounds started.

I know that doesn't answer your question, but it may help you.

What if the music is intended with a loving touch?

Doesn't matter to me. I'm sure that anyone sending e-mails with embedded music is doing so with the idea of pleasing the recipient. But one never knows where someone might open the mail. What if they open it at work? I just think its totally inconsiderate to not give the recipient the option.

Ok, I get your point but Sometimes it might be necessary to send e-mail with sound.

When? I can think of no instance where it is necessary to send an e-mail that automatically plays sounds as soon as it is opened. I'm not against including sounds (though I didn't bring up copyright issues). I'm against playing them automatically without the recipient's consent.

It can be used for blind people to get their mail like that of voicemail.

Ok. I'll concede that's a special circumstance. But generally communicating with such people uses special software anyway.

There is computers for blind people... with sound recognition... you can hover the mouse over anything, and the computer will speak it out for you... its kind of neat...
