I have been staying at my partner's house for the last 10 months and about 5 months ago a strong smell of fish (tuna or salmon) began to dominated the hall at the bottom of the stairs from about 10:30 pm to 11:00pm. Just recently it has got stronger and last night it was so strong that I could smell it at the top of the stairs. My partner is getting concerned and we have searched the whole area for signs of rotting food or leaking drains, but the floor is concrete and the smell is very localised in the hall. A much loved family cat died last August and my partner is beginning to think it maybe his spirit, but I don't think he was much of a fish eater and he had to be put down at the vet's.

We are both open minded about the after-life, but have you heard of this before and do you have any suggestions as to what this might be.

Many thanks

TM
