I'm supposed to be setting up a payment plan with the law offices of robert culclough which I'm not too sure anyone has heard of! Lol he is out of van nuys.. my debt was 1,476.00 and he jacked it up a whole another 100.00.. the plan is supposed to be 200.00 down and 100.00 a month.. does that sound about right to everyone , I tried to go back to the original creditor which is chase but they won't let me :(... I'm not to sure if he is legit but... I tried to look him up on the bar? I didn't find him but when I type his phone number in his name and office come up. My first premier bank card will not even let me go in to make a payment to them. Its charged off and they said once they have paid it that I can't go in to pay it, my other option would be take charge america which is suppsosed to be one of those consumer credit people but I'm hearing that that looks bad on your record and when I type in take charge america on here nothing comes up! I'm really wanting to clean up my credit in the fastest way possible but its so hard to pick the right choices, any suggestions?

I would suggest trying the following search:

"take charge america" - Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22take+charge+america%22+)

You may have to face the fact that your credit rating is not going to be very good, for perhaps the next many years. I have had to face this fact. Also, it is much better to be speaking with a creditor before anything goes to the litigation stage of events.

Initial payments for a payback on a credit card usually are a little more in amounts than what will follow. I don't really think that
the plan is supposed to be 200.00 down and 100.00 a month to be unreasonable at all. It is near to the amounts that I had to face recently.

I also have tried to deal with CHASE. Ain't easy. And pert near impossible. But, they would allow me to make a transfer to another card to count as a payment to them. That was good.

My suggestion from here on out - document everything and always have a witness whenever you are speaking with a creditor. A witness could be on another phone or in person.

This has been my opinion anyway. Hopefully, others will come along to share their viewpoints and expertise also.
