About 2-3 weeks ago, I got this small bump just to the left of my vaginal whole, not on the lips. At first, I didn't think anything of it, but then, it got bigger and painful. I was picking at it today, and I didn't see any puss. I peeled a scab like thing off the top of it. I then squeezed it and blood came out. The blood seemed to have an odor to it at the beginning. I stopped squeezing it and put some ointment on it. I then smelled the blood on the tissue, and it didn't smell anymore. I am going to get tested asap, but could it be an STD, or could it be something else?

It very well could be an STD, OR, it could be an ingrown hair. The only way to know for sure is an exam by your doctor.

Herpes can indeed show side effects like this. Please get it checked out by your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

If it is an STD and is left untreated it can cause serious and permanent effects.

Please see a doctor and do not take internet advice from strangers as 100%, this can be dangerous to your health.

It could be an STD or a Staph infection. The only way to be sure is to visit your doctor :)

I spoke from experience like you claim to do so often in all of your quotes my friend also had the same thing and got it checked and yes it was a cyst mine took 3 weeks to recover as with hers it had to be removed and she developed it a second time you don't know everything if you assume that a cyst is not a possibility as it was with me I only gave my opinion and I'm not a doctor just speaking from experience with the same problem

Bumps like that have bacteria in them. If you squeeze them yourself, rather than have a professional drain it, you will spread it and more bumps will appear.

Genital herpes are pus filled sores on the inner lips of the vagina. They go inside the vagina too, but that is not they're only location.

Herpes can manifest anywhere they are exposed... lips of the vagina, face, etc. They are not only inside the vagina.

The fact that it's a single bump points to an ingrown hair or cyst but get tested for an STD just to put your mind at ease.

The best thing to do is get tested. Whether you've been having sex or not.

I don't have an answer but a similar problem , it's a red bump on the outside of the vagina. I thought I felt a little crusty piece at the top of it but I was too scared to touch it or squeeze it.. I don't know if it sounds like herpes or anything like that or not, my mom thought it was an ingrown hair but it hasn't gone away in a really long time.. any ideas?
