I use a Fujitsu Siemens laptop, recently I reformatted my laptop. And everything works fine except for the sound. I have no more sound. My computer doesn't let me turn the volume up. So I then decided to instal the driver CD I got with the laptop. And still nothing. What do I have to do, to get my sound back?

If you're using XP (which I guess you are?) click on Start then right click 'My Computer' and click 'Manage... '

On the left panel, click 'device manager'

Do you have any yellow exclaimation marks in the resulting right hand panel?

You need to install sound drivers. You can download them from here >> (www.driverguide.com)

As benn11 says, you'll probably just need an updated driver (I updated all the drivers on my laptop and it started doing things I never knew it could! Lol!)

If it's a standard fit laptop (i.e. you haven't swapped the soundcard) I would get them direct from the source here;
