What is the correct way to apply packing material in an outdoor spigot to seal a stem leak?
As a rule all we have to to do is turn the hose bib on until it starts to leak out the stem and then snug the bonnet packing nut up until the leak stops.
Do not overtighten. Good luck, Tom
