How can I answer a credit card debt that is taking me to court? I am not working now for two years. What can I say in my complaint letter?

File Notice of: Intend to Defend, and hereby demand strick proof of the alleged debt.

You simply ask for validation of the debt claiming you are not sure this is a valid debt.
But, if the creditor has the proof, then not working or not being able to afford to pay is not a defense. The creditor will obtain a judgement against you. Whether you have any assets they can then attach is another issue. But having the judgement means they can wait until you do have assets.
